We have profiled the QuestBridge National College Match Program, but today’s scholarship program is the QuestBridge College Prep Scholarship Program.  QuestBridge is a really wonderful organization that helps low-income students access education through partnerships with some of the most selective institutions in the country.

The College Parents of America Scholarship Program

The College Parents of America is currently offering their 2011-2012 scholarship program which is meant to “reward First Generation College Students and students with exceptional leadership quality.” This generous program awards five $1,000 scholarships to first-generation, rising college freshmen and five $1,000 scholarships to exceptional leaders, “no matter what their year in school”.

Buick Achievers Scholarship

The Buick Achievers Scholarship is a great (and very competitive) scholarship for high school students who will be first-generation college students.  This scholarship offers 1,100 total awards. 100 of these awards are for 25,000 dollars per year (for up to 4 years renewable), while the other 1,000 awards are worth 2,000 dollars per year (for up to 4 years renewable).
