Fisher House Scholarships for Military Children Program

Today’s scholarship is sponsored by the Fisher House Program, which is a non-profit organization which supports America’s military and family members of military members.  This scholarship has given over $8.3 million dollars in scholarships to a total of 5,402 students!

Hispanic Business Council Scholarship Foundation (NJ) Scholarship

The Hispanic Business Council Scholarship Foundation of NJ is offering their annual scholarship to students who are of Hispanic heritage, are New Jersey residents, have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, and will be enrolled full-time in the 2012-2013 academic year at an accredited college, university, community college or trade school anywhere in the United States.

National FFA Collegiate Scholarship Program

The National FFA Collegiate Scholarship Program is currently available from the Future Farmers of America. This scholarship program is awarding approximately $2 million in scholarships to students less 23 years of age at time of application (February 15, 2012). Unless otherwise stated, applicants should be current FFA members, plan to attend a post-secondary school in the U.S., and be a high school senior or currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution.

2012 Fred Rogers Memorial Scholarship

Today’s scholarship is the 2012 Fred Rogers Memorial Scholarship.  This scholarship is open to all graduate and undergraduate students who are attended accredited college or universities.  This scholarship awards four separate scholarships, each of which are worth $10,000.In addition to this, winning applications “are mentored by children’s programming professionals during the academic year.”  One of the four scholarships is specifically for students who live in the Pittsburgh (PA) area.

APS Minority Scholarship

Today’s scholarship is the APS Minority Scholarship which is sponsored by the American Physical Society.  The aim of this scholarship is to provide scholarship opportunities for traditionally under-represented minorities who are interested in studying physics.  According to the scholarship website, under-represented minorities include students of African-American, Hispanic, and Native American descent.

2012 The Cancer Survivor College Scholarship Program

Today’s scholarship is The Cancer Survivor College Scholarship Program sponsored by The American Cancer Society.  The purpose of this scholarship program is to help pay for the undergraduate education of young people who have survied cancer.  This scholarship is worth $2,500 per year and is renewable for up to four year.  That means the scholarship could be worth up to $10,000 in total!

The Generation Google Scholarship

The Generation Google Scholarship is currently being offered to graduating high school seniors from an underrepresented group in computer science.
