2012 Teens Drive Smart Video Scholarship

Today’s scholarship is for aspiring filmmakers who also have a passion for safety!  This scholarship is sponsored in part by Bridgestone America.  Students are asked to create a short video about safe driving.  Videos should be short–25 or 55 seconds–and students should be creative!  To be eligible, students have to be between the ages of 16 and 21, so both college and high school students are eligible.

Charley Wootan Grant Program

The Charley Wootan Grant Program is currently being offered by the Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation. This program is awarding nearly $5 million in grants to students ($4 million to Texas residents, $1 million to those outside the Lone Star State). Up to $4,000 will be awarded to each successful applicant.

Exposure Film Scholarship

Valiant Pictures, an “innovative production company,” is currently offering the Exposure Film Scholarship to high school students. In recognizing that one of the most valuable aspects of the film industry is guidance and connections, this contest involves a $500 scholarship in addition to “one-on-one industry guidance and mentorship from Valiant producers and directors.”
