 2012 The Cancer Survivor College Scholarship Program

Today’s scholarship is The Cancer Survivor College Scholarship Program sponsored by The American Cancer Society.  The purpose of this scholarship program is to help pay for the undergraduate education of young people who have survied cancer.  This scholarship is worth $2,500 per year and is renewable for up to four year.  That means the scholarship could be worth up to $10,000 in total!

This scholarship can be used towards a four year or two year college/university, vocational school, or technical school.  Students can use scholarship awards for everything from tuition to books to other fees.

To be eligible for this scholarship students must:

  • Have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA
  • Have graduated high school
  • Be 25 years old or less
  • Have been diagnosed with cancer before the age of 21
Students must also be US citizens and live in Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming.

The deadline for this scholarship is February 24, 2012.  Scholarship winners will be notified in May 2012.
