You might know them from their Superbowl commercials or because they are the largest provider of hosting and domains on the internet.  However, GoDaddy.com also offers high school students a wonderful scholarship opportunity–the Go Daddy .Me Scholarship Program! 

     This year Go Daddy is offering 10 differing scholarship opportunities for students!  Each scholarship is worth $10,000!

This scholarship is open to all high school seniors.  To be eligible, students must have at least a 3.0 GPA and standardized scores of 21+ on the ACT and 1,000+ on the SAT (On the SAT it is the sum of your Critical Reading and Math scores).  Students should also have a copy of their transcript and tests scores to be available upon request.  Lastly, students need to be a resident of the United States.

In addition to the academic requirements, students will need to submit an essay and two professional or personal references.
The essay should be 500 words (or less) and answer the following question:
“Describe how the Internet or Internet technology (e.g. websites, blogs, forums, social media, etc.) has helped you during the course of your studies and how you envision benefiting from it through college and beyond.”

Recommendations should be from a mentor, teacher, coach, employer (but cannot be from a family member).

Everything for the application can be done online!

The deadline for this scholarship is March 30, 2012!
