The Have It Your Way Foundation is offering the Burger King Scholars Program to graduating high school seniors. Within this large program, there are other scholarships such as the BURGER KING® Employee-Based Track for current employees and children of employees and the James W. McLamore WHOPPER™ Scholarship (there are three of these scholarships worth $50,000 each). In total, the awards will be as follows: many $1,000 awards (given locally), three (3) $50,000 James W. McLamore WHOPPER™Scholarship Awards, one (1) $25,000 “King” award, and up to four (4) $5,000 Regional awards.
To be eligible, applicants must be residents of the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico and must be graduating high school seniors (U.S. and Puerto Rico), graduating from grade 12 (Canada) or graduating from home school education in the U.S., Puerto Rico or Canada. In addition to this, applicants must have a cumulative high school GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale and plan to enroll full-time, without interruption, for the entire 2012-13 academic year at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico.
