ICMA-RC (which is a ”non-profit independent financial services corporation”) is offering the ICMA-RC Vantagepoint Public Employee Memorial Scholarship to honor the lives of our nation’s police officers, firefighters, and other local and state government employees who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Those eligible (children and spouses of those lost) can reapply to this scholarship program each year, although there is a maximum scholarship amount of $10,000 (for all years combined) for each applicant. Applicants can be high school seniors or be attending a two-year, four-year, graduate, or vocational school at the time of the application.
Applications (which can be found online), along with a current complete official transcript, one letter of recommendation, and an official letter from the deceased employee’s place of work (certifying that the employee died in the line of duty), must be physically mailed in to:
