Jewish Community Services (JCS) is an organization that supports the Jewish community through programs and services including the JCS Scholarship Program. The JCS Scholarship Program is for Jewish students who are high school seniors in the metro Baltimore area!
To be eligible for the scholarship program. students must come from a single-parent home or have a documented/diagnosed learning disability.
The applications for both of the scholarships are available online:
- Jewish Students from a Single-Parent Home Scholarship Application
- Jewish Students with Learning Disabilities
Completed applications must include:
- An official copy of your high school transcript
- Standardized test scores (SAT or ACT)
- Three letters of recommendation (on must be from the student’s counselor, one from a teacher, and one from a non-family member)
- Typed essay that discusses why the scholarship is needed, future goals, and “addresses the factors cited above under Eligibility criteria.”
- Federal Tax Returns
