The Military Commanders’ Scholarship Fund

main 300x65 The Military Commanders Scholarship FundThe New York Chapter of the American Logistics Association (ALA) is currently offering a scholarship program to help the children of select active duty, reserve, National Guard or retired members of the US military who plan to continue their education in college. Scholarship recipients will earn $5,000 college scholarships.

To apply to the Military Commanders’ Scholarship Fund (which is the official name), you must fit the following requirements:

  • be dependent children of active duty, reserve, National Guard or retired members of the United States military who hold valid Exchange & Commissary shopping privileges at the time of application,
  • be high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll for the first time in a full time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university, and
  • have a minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent, at the time of application

Applications are due February 15, 2012, but keep in mind that this scholarship is on a first-come, first-serve basis; only the first 100 applications will be processed. Good luck!
