Today’s scholarship is from the GO ON GIRL! Book Club Inc. The GO ON GIRL! Book Club is a non-profit that supports authors of the Black African Diaspora through reading books by such authors each month! If you are interested, check out the club’s reading list. Each year, the book club has two writing award programs! The scholarship we will be covering today is the Unpublished Writer Award
This has a March 15, 2012 deadlines so you have plenty of time to write something.
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must be residents of the USA with an unpublished piece of fiction. Entries may not be longer than 2,000 words and should be double-spaced. Applicants should submit four copies of their piece for the scholarship committee.
Applicants must also submit a cover sheet with the following information:

- Address
- Telephone number
- E-mail address
- 250-word bio (which should include writing goals and current writing status)
