The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE-USA) is currently offering a video competition for all college and graduate students in the United States. Students entering this contest, whether as an individual or as a group, should respond to the prompt of “How Engineers Make a World of Difference.” IEEE-USA will present four categories of awards totaling $5,000. Videos should be two-minutes long, and should be aimed at an 11 to 13 year-old audience.
To be fully eligible for this contest, at least one person on your team must be an IEEE member. Also, make sure to include a self-introduction before the video that includes your name, your college or university, and the degree you are pursuing or receiving.
To enter, submit your video through YouTube by midnight Eastern Time on Friday, 27 January 2012. Winners will be announced and shown during Engineers Week (19-25 February 2012) and will even be featured on PBS’ Design Squad website: http://pbskids.org/designsquad/. For more information, check out the IEEE-USA’s page for this contest. Good luck!
