You’re not experiencing déjà vu- Scholarships360 profiled this great scholarship opportunity last year, and it’s back for the 2012 school year! The Vegetarian Resource Group is once again offering two, $5,000 college scholarships to high school seniors graduating in the spring of 2012. Applications for this scholarship must be postmarked by February 20, 2012 (although the VRG encourages that you submit your application earlier).
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a vegetarian (you do not eat meat, fish, or fowl). According to the scholarship website, applicants will be judged on “having shown compassion, courage, and a strong commitment to promoting a peaceful world through a vegetarian diet/lifestyle.” Applicants can submit their application using a provided PDF application, or through simply typing up the required information (a full list of which can be found on the scholarship website) in a Word document.
