The Blogging Scholarship is current being offered by CollegeScholarships.org. This scholarship awards a $10,000 college scholarship to a student with a blog concerning “ unique and interesting information about you and/or things you are passionate about.”
The application for this scholarship is very simple (asking for name, GPA, college, blog URL, etc.), although it does include a 1,000 word essay. According to the website, “short & interesting is preferred over verbose”, and the essay can be on a variety of topics, all outlined on their scholarship page. On that page, you can also look at the blogs from previous winners.
CollegeScholarships.org will begin accept applications through November 14, and voting will begin on November 15, 2011. Voting closes at noon pacific on November 23rd, when the winner will be announced on the CollegeScholarships blog. Good luck!
