Growing up, one of my favorite things was Turkey Hill Tin Roof Sundae Ice cream.  I could go through gallons of that stuff.  In the spirit of this, today’s scholarship is sponsored by Turkey Hill Dairy.  The Lady Liberty Essay Contest is an essay-based scholarship for middle school and high school students.

Everyone loves a simple scholarship and this is no exception–students simply have to answer the question:

“What does liberty mean to you?”

Responses should be between 500 and 1,000 words.

Applications can be submitted online on the scholarship website.  Students also have the option of sending in a hard copy of the scholarship.

There are two scholarship awards worth $5,000.  One will be awarded to a middle school student and the other to a high school student.

Best of luck to all applicants!
