intelliVOL is a web-based community service management system application for high schools and high school students; their website specifically for high schoolers is called x2VOL. This site is currently offering the x2VOL video contest for high school students (students in grades 9-12), asking applicants to make a 2 minute (or less) video “explaining why community service is important”. The first place winner of this contest will win a $1,000 college scholarship, and two second place winners will win $500 scholarships.
When you make your (copyright-music-free) video, upload it to YouTube with the title “x2VOL Video Contest”. Then, make sure to post a link to your video on the x2VOL Facebook page. Judges from x2VOL will judge the videos based off of relevance, quality, creativity, and adherence to the rules. Don’t miss a full list of the x2VOL Video Contest tips and guidelines. If you make it past the first round of selections, you will be contacted via Facebook with further instructions (you must sign a release allowing x2VOL to use the video). Finally, the top three winners will be notified by email and must respond in 7 days to accept their award.
Videos must be submitted by midnight on September 30, 2011. Good luck!
