The CrossLites Scholarship Contest is an annual scholarship contest offered to high school, college, and graduate students. The scholarship program is pretty generous, offering these awards to each grade level:
- 1st Place: $2,000.00
- 2nd Place: $1,500.00
- 3rd Place: $1,000.00
- 4th Place: $750.00
- 5th Place: $500.00
- 6th Place: $250.00
- 5 Lottery Winners: $100 each
Not too bad! According to
CrossLites’ Rules and Regulations page, you will ” write a reflective essay (
400 – 600 words) based on one of Dr. Parker’s quotes or messages.” Also,
you can enter two entirely different essays. You can read quotes from Dr. Parker (who formed the idea for CrossLites) on the
Dr. Parker Quote Page, and should use these quotes as a starting point for your essay. Winners will be selected mostly off of community votes (90% of score), with 10% of your essay’s score being decided by judges. Keep in mind that, for this contest, there are no minimum GPA, SAT, ACT, GMAT, GRE, or any other test score requirements. You will have to
send in a transcript to verify that you are a student.
