Sometimes when I am researching different scholarship opportunities, I just come across one scholarship and think “what in the world…”  This was certainly the case with the Whirly-Girl Scholarship which we’ll be taking a look at tonight.

The Whirly-Girl Scholarship is sponsored by the non-profit organization Whirly-Girls International, which is dedicated to “advancing women in helicopter aviation.”

Each year, WGI offers eight great scholarship opportunities to members including:

  1. Whirly-Girls Add-On Flight Training Scholarship
  2. Whirly-Girls Memorial Flight Training Scholarship
  3. American Eurocopter Training Scholarship
  4.  Robinson Helicopter R22/R44 Safety Course Scholarship
  5. Flight Safety International Bell 206 Initial Pilot Scholarship
  6. Advanced Mountain Flight Training Scholarship
  7. Aircraft Ditching Course Scholarship
  8. Aviation Specialties Unlimited Scholarship
Interested students can click on each individual scholarship on the WGI Scholarship page for more detailed information.
For application instructions, students can check out the specific application instructions on the WGI website.
