Sometimes when I am researching different scholarship opportunities, I just come across one scholarship and think “what in the world…” This was certainly the case with the Whirly-Girl Scholarship which we’ll be taking a look at tonight.
The Whirly-Girl Scholarship is sponsored by the non-profit organization Whirly-Girls International, which is dedicated to “advancing women in helicopter aviation.”
Each year, WGI offers eight great scholarship opportunities to members including:
- Whirly-Girls Add-On Flight Training Scholarship
- Whirly-Girls Memorial Flight Training Scholarship
- American Eurocopter Training Scholarship
- Robinson Helicopter R22/R44 Safety Course Scholarship
- Flight Safety International Bell 206 Initial Pilot Scholarship
- Advanced Mountain Flight Training Scholarship
- Aircraft Ditching Course Scholarship
- Aviation Specialties Unlimited Scholarship
Scholarships are due October 1, 2011 and applicants can submit scholarships electronically (to wgvpscholarships@whirlygirls.org ) or through the mail to:
