The College JumpStart Scholarship program, in its own words, seeks to reward three key traits: “Hard work. Perseverance. Love of learning.” If you fit this criteria, consider checking out their very generous scholarship program. This scholarship is for current students (10,11,12 graders and college students) or for those who plan on entering college within the next year. This scholarship is unique in that it does not consider grades or test scores in selecting scholarship recipients!
This scholarship has multiple winners: a first place winner ($1,500 scholarship), a second place winner ($750 scholarship), and honorable mentions ($250 scholarships). The scholarship application (which can be found online) asks applicants to write a brief (250 word) essay on one of the following topics:
(1) What are your educational goals?
(2) How will winning this scholarship help you attain your goals?
(3) Write about a time when “hard work” paid off.
