The Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture Scholarships was founded in 1965 and promotes both Jewish culture and connectedness around the world. A big part of the MFJC’s mission is their annual scholarship program.
Each year, the MFJC offers three different scholarship and fellowship opportunities for students interested in contributing to the Jewish world.
The International Doctoral Scholarship for Studies Specializing in Jewish Fields is a scholarship for students enrolled in a graduate program who are specializing in a Jewish field. To be eligible, students must have their dissertation approved by their respective university.
This scholarship is worth up to $10,000 and the deadline the is October 31, 2011.
The International Fellowships in Jewish Studies is for artists, scholars, or researchers who want to “formulate and implement a project in a field of Jewish specialization.” These projects can be done internationally and recipients are awarded a renewable award of up to $10,000! The deadline for this scholarship is October 31, 2011.
The final opportunity is the International Scholarship Program for Community Service. This award is for students aspiring to work in the fields of social work, religion, or education in the Jewish world.
