Today’s scholarship is sponsored by the WAPA Foundation. WAPA is the Wisconsin Academy of Physician Assistants and is dedicated to supporting physician assistants and PA students. Each year, the WAPA Foundation has a scholarship program for students whose parents are active members of WAPA.
The scholarship is open to high school seniors who will be graduating in 2012 and is worth $1,000.
The scholarship application includes a copy of the student’s most recent high school transcript, standardized test scores, and a letter or recommendation. Additionally, applicants must write an essay (500 words or less) that discusses their professional and academic goals.
The scholarship application can be found online and is due by September 1, 2011. Completed applications can be sent to the WAPA Foundation:
