Are you looking to earn an MBA? Ever have an interest in living in the “Hawkeye” State? The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business is offering a full-tuition award to the one applicant who most creatively answers an essay question in “Tweet” form. This essay is specifically:
“What makes you an exceptional Tippie Full-time MBA candidate and future MBA hire? Creativity encouraged!”
Yes, you read that correctly: one Tweet could help earn you a $37,000 scholarship! The admissions department is not, however, limiting you to the traditional 140 character tweet, as you can connect your Tweet to other social media (other sites, videos, a blog, etc.). Also keep in mind that admission to the College of Business (and/or winning the scholarship) is NOT solely contingent on this one Tweet; you must also meet typical admissions criteria.
Applications for the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business must be submitted by July 28, 2011. To apply, email your current resume and Tweet to tippiemba@uiowa.edu, and, after this is done, the admissions department will respond with further instructions. The winner of the scholarship will be announced on August 4, 2011. Even if you don’t win, there is still a bright side to this: All applicants who submit a response will have their application fee waived!
