Sprout Savvy is an educational website that is all about everything to do with green living and sustainability. Their mission is to create change through the idea that “small changes that make a big difference.” If you are interested in sustainability and green living, check out their Sprout TV series of educational videos!
Along with their mission of green living, Sprout Savvy has an annual Eco-Friendly Scholarship Program. The award for the winner of this scholarship is is $1,500 (the runner-up receives $500).
This scholarship program involves producing a video about how you are making the world a more environmentally friendly place. The videos will then be uploaded to the Sprout Savvy Facebook Page for three weeks. The winner is determined by Sprout Savvy and the runner-up is determined by which video receives the most “likes” on Facebook (it is possible to win both awards).
The other requirements for this scholarship are enrollment in college (in the 2010-2011 academic year) and a 3.0 GPA. Additionally, applicants also have to subscribe to Sprout Savvy’s YouTube Channel and “like” them on Facebook. The online scholarship form can be found on the Sprout Savvy website.
The deadline for this scholarship is August 14, 2011!
