ScholarMatch: Matching Donors with Scholars!

scholarmatch 245x300 ScholarMatch: Matching Donors with Scholars!

ScholarMatch is one of the most interesting non-profit organizations I have come across.  The basic premise of ScholarMatch is simple: link up scholarship donors and student. ScholarMatch then goes a step further by allowing the donors to learn more about the students that they are donating money to.  Students who receive grants update their donors each month in “hope is that potential donors will be more likely to support the educational goals of the scholars in their communities.”

It is a really great cause and an awesome concept, so I hope that you all take a closer look at how your donation could help! If you are a student looking for scholarship money, you should register and become a ScholarMatch Scholar!

In addition to matching donors and students, ScholarMatch also lists several scholarships from foundations and donors.

So if you are a student and have questions about ScholarMatch you can contact them at ScholarQuestions@scholarmatch.org.  However, if you are a student from a school or city (this is a San Fransisco Bay Area non-profit organization) not currently served by ScholarMatch you can contact Outreach@scholarmatch.org.

We hope that you all check out ScholarMatch!  This is a great resource for college bound high school students. Remember, not all scholarship money has to come from traditional scholarships–there are creative services like this that can help too!
