NRAEF Scholarships

National Restaurant Association logo 5626A69A39 seeklogo com NRAEF Scholarships The National Restaurant Association Education Foundation (NRAEF) offers a number of excellent scholarships each year. These scholarships are available to students who are beginning to pursue an undergrad degree (HS graduates and those with their GED), current undergraduate students, and educators. Unfortunately, the deadlines for the scholarships for undergrad students and educators passed in February and March (mark your calendar for next year if interested!), although scholarships for high school and GED graduates are still available!

The NRAEF is offering two large scholarships this year: the Al Schuman Ecolab First-time Freshman Entrepreneurial Scholarship (for qualified students who are recent high school graduates/first-time freshmen and who demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial spirit) and the High School/GED Graduate/ProStart Students Scholarship (for students who will be first-time freshmen including graduating high school seniors, GED graduates and high school graduates enrolling in college for the first time). Both of these scholarships are due on August 17, 2011 (so you have a while). The  Al Schuman Scholarship ranges in amount from $3000-$3500, while the HS scholarship comes in a $2500 amount. The applications are a little different, so carefully look over each one (HS/GED/ProStart Application and Al Schuman Application). For example, the Al Schuman Scholarship is only for students at specific colleges, so it is best to make sure that you qualify before filling out the application!

Good luck!
