The Stuck at Prom® Scholarship Contest is an annual scholarship contest for high school students who create cool prom accessories and outfits from duct tape. The contest is really easy to enter, you just need to send in a photograph of you and your date wearing your duct tape prom outfits. Applicants also have to complete an online entry form.
The top 10 couples win scholarships for this award. The awards are $5,000 each for first place, $3,000 each for second place, $2,000 each for third place, and $500 each for the remaining top 10 couples.
Entries are judged by a scholarship panel. The criteria for judging is:
- Worksmanship (30%)
- Originality (25%)
- Use of Color (25%)
- Accessories (10%)
- Use of duct tape (10%)
All entries are due by June 13, 2011, so you all still have time to plan a great outfit! At the very least, you can see the awesome outfits that students have put together in the Stuck at Prom® Gallery.
