Knights of Lithuania Scholarship

flag of Lithuania Knights of Lithuania ScholarshipThere are a lot of scholarships for students of different ethnic/ancestral backgrounds.  Today’s scholarship is from the nation of Lithuania and sponsored by the Knight of Lithuania, which is an organization which “[aims] to keep alive among its members an appreciation of the Lithuanian language, customs and culture while also stressing the importance of Roman Catholic beliefs.”

If you have been a member of the Knights of Lithuania for at least two years, you are eligible for this great scholarship opportunity.  This award is open to students who are in college or graduate school.

As would be expected, service and involvement in the Knights of Lithuania is integral to the scholarship committee.  Additionally, applicants must include a completed application (which includes a short essay), a photograph, a transcript, and four recommendations.  Recommendations must be made by:

  1. Pastor or Council Spiritual Advisor Reference Form
  2. Council President Reference Form
  3. Teacher Reference Form
  4. Character Reference Form

Completed applications can be sent to:

Rita Zakarka Johnson, Chair
