The Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America sponsors several scholarship grants for the Romanian Orthodox community including the William R. Stanitz Award. The award is funded by a generous grant from the Constantin J. Stanitz family of Chicago, Illinois. This award will be for at least two scholarships of $1,000.00 each.
Applicants must meet the following qualifications to apply:
- Membership in The American Romanian Orthodox Youth (AROY)
- High school degree
- A current college student or a student who is enrolling in college
- A biographical history of your family
- Academic Transcript
- Extracurricular activities (with an emphasis on AROY and Church activities)
- Photograph of yourself
- Essay explaining why you are applying for the scholarship
- Letter of recommendation from a priest or AROY adviser
