Sheep Heritage Foundation Memorial Scholarship

The non-profit world is full of REALLY interesting organizations.  Although my favorite barnyard animal-related organization is Heifer International, the American Sheep Industry Association is a close second.  The American Sheep Industry Association (ASIA for short), offers the Sheep Heritage Foundation Scholarship to eligible students who are interested in sheep-related graduated studies (MS or Ph.D. students).  The scholarship website mentions concentrations such as animal science, wool research, agricultural economics, or veterinary medicine. This awesome scholarship opportunity is in the amount of $1,500.

Now, let’s take a look at what the scholarship committee will be looking for in applicants.

In addition to being a graduate student (you also have to include proof of graduate school acceptance), applicants must submit two letters of reference. Finally, the actual application is available online.

The contact information for this scholarship opportunity is:

American Sheep Industry Association, Attn: Memorial Scholarship, 9785 Maroon Circle, Suite 360, Englewood, CO 80112-2692, telephone 303-771-3500 or email Mary@sheepusa.org.

The deadline for this scholarship is June 1, 2011 and applicants should hear back by July!
