Petroleum Division College Scholarships

asme ipti blue Petroleum Division College ScholarshipsThe International Petroleum Technology Institute offers a large number of scholarships every year to students majoring in engineering related to the petroleum industry (whether that be “Drilling, Completions, Facilities, Pipe Lines, Rigs, Operations, Materials, Equipment Manufacturing, Plant Design and Operation, Maintenance, or Environmental Protection and Innovations”). And when I say “large”, I mean 8 scholarships of $1000 each to high school seniors, and 20 scholarships of $2000 each to college students! The applications for the high school v. the college scholarship are a little different, so I suggest you check the scholarship website out for the specifics. For the college scholarship, you must be a member in good standing of the ASME (International Petroleum Technology Institute), although there is no such requirement for the high school award. Both scholarships must be submitted by June 15, 2011 to:

ASME Petroleum Division Student Scholarship Program
Attn: Student Scholarship Program
11757 Katy Freeway, Suite 865
Houston, TX 77079

If you would like to see a copy of the application itself, follow the links on this page. As always, best of luck!
