Scholarships for National Defense/Intelligence

afio Scholarships for National Defense/IntelligenceAfter you have thoroughly read this email, print it out and burn the printed out page. Or just delete it from your inbox.

Actually, do nothing of the sort: these scholarships are great opportunities for students (undergraduate or graduate) who have a career interest in intelligence and national security. The Association for Intelligence Officers scholarship page offers a number of great scholarships (including 7 $4000 scholarships, 8 $2000 scholarships, and many others) to students interested in counterintelligence, homeland security, and other national defense-related fields.  The application is the same for all scholarships on the AFIO website. This application must include:

1. Cover Letter (i.e. explaining your need for scholarship, your career goals and dreams, your views of U.S. world standing and intelligence community)
2. Resume (i.e. address, age, college, experience, extra-curricular activities)
3. A copy of your academic transcript – need not be original or “official”
4. One recommendation
5. Recent photograph – can be sent as a high resolution digital image file via email attachment, or printed and mailed. Image should show full face…sitting, standing, or portrait only.
6. Indicate for WHICH scholarships you wish to be considered. No need to send multiple copies of your materials.

Once the application is completed, it should be sent to:

AFIO 2011 Scholarships Committee
6723 Whittier Ave, Ste 200
McLean, Virginia 22101-4533

ALL APPLICATIONS ARE DUE JULY 1st, 2011! As always, best of luck!
