2011 American Spirit Scholarship

Most of the scholarships we profile are primarily based on academics and essays, which is the nature of scholarship competitions.  However today (or rather tonight) we have a really cool opportunity for those students who are more artistically inclined.  The 2011 American Spirit Scholarship is a competition based around the theme of “Portrait of America.”  Applicants are asked to take a photograph, paint a picture, or create some sort of art that represents their interpretation of a “Portrait of America.”

Interested applicants need to submit their entries online by June 1, 2011.  You are allowed to submit two pieces of original art.

After you submit your entry, it will be posted online for voting.  The top 20 entries will be sent to the scholarship committee, who will decide upon a winner!

Best of luck and if you want to get one scholarship each day, sign up for our free email service!
