American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association Scholarship

American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association ScholarshipEach year, the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (or AHEPA for short) offers high school students, college students, and graduate students scholarship of up to $2,000. Like the National Italian American Foundation Scholarship we profiled, the AHEPA Scholarship is aimed at students who are of Greek descent.  To be eligible for these awards, you must be a member of AHEPA or of Greek descent and the son/daughter of a either a member of AHEPA, the Daughters of Penelope, the Sons of Pericles, or the Maids of Athena.  Extra consideration will be given to candidates who are a member of AHEPA or who have an annual family income of less than $100,000.

The deadline for this opportunity is March 31, 2011.

The application packet is available online and must include the application, a transcript, two letters of recommendation, a photograph, and a financial need verification if your annual family income is less than $100,000.

So, if you are of Greek decent, but not a member of AHEPA and have always been interested in your heritage, this may be a great time to check out joining the organization!

Best of luck!
