KFC Colonels Scholars Program In addition to introducing the monstrosity that is the KFC Double Down, Kentucky Fried Chicken offers the KFC Colonel’s Scholars Program each year.  This award is given to 50 graduating high school seniors each year.

At  Scholarships360, we love scholarships that are renewable –like the jelly of the month club, they are truly the  gifts that keep on giving.

The KFC Scholars Program is worth $5,000 per year for four years of college!  Students are also paired with a mentor, which is another pretty cool benefit of this opportunity.  The deadline for this great opportunity is February 9, 2011, so get started!

Eligible students must be high school seniors in the US and have a minimum of a 2.75 GPA. Students must also attend a public, in-state school to qualify.  Students are also eligible if they will be attending a community college (as long as they plan on transferring to a four-year school afterwards).

Students can apply online for this scholarship.  Semifinalists of this scholarship will be notified in March and they will be required to send in additional documentation.  Finally, the winners of the 2011 KFC Colonel’s Scholars Program will be notified in May.

If applicants have any questions or concerns they can get in touch with the KFC Scholars Program staff at 866-KFC-7240 or through email: scholars@kfc.com
