The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship

Jackie Robinson was the first African American baseball player to play in Major League Baseball.  His foundation, The Jackie Robinson Foundation, offers scholarships of up to $7,500 per year to minority high school students.

Applicants must submit their applications materials online including a letter of recommendation and SAT/ACT scores. The Jackie Robinson Foundation’s college codes are SAT: 4248 and ACT: 6570.

The application also includes several short essays which are not to be longer than 500 words.

The deadline for the scholarship is March 15, 2011.

All applicants will be notified of the results on June 1, 2011.

If you have any further questions, the Jackie Robinson Foundation has an FAQ for their scholarship on their website.
